Steam Deck Update Improves LCD Color Display, Adds Support For New OLED Models

The latest Steam Deck update changes the default color rendering on the LCD model to emulate sRGB color gamut, which should enable warmer and more vibrant colors.

Most of the update’s biggest changes are to the display settings. While the LCD device’s default setting has been changed to the sRGB, you can change it back to the “native” display or to a setting called “boosted,” which further enhances color and appearance at the risk of gradient clipping. You can now enable HDR for when the Deck is connected to a display that supports the feature. VRR is also now supported.

Hurricane Ida casino closures in Louisiana could cause huge revenue losses

When major weather events occur along the coastline of the United States, people prepare. In Louisiana, the common weather threat is hurricanes. Just a few days ago, the state was hammered by Hurricane Ida, and it resulted in power outages in several areas, with thousands remaining in the dark. Michigan Releases November Online Casino Gaming Revenue and It Hit the Records

Michigan had a great month when it came to online casino gaming. According to the state’s Gaming Control Board, the gross revenue in November was $175.3 million, which is a record-breaking amount.

Activision cites ‘organizational changes’ as the reason for Hearthstone layoffs-

Activision Blizzard has confirmed that a “small number” of employees on its Hearthstone team have been laid off.

Word of the layoffs surfaced late yesterday in LinkedIn posts by former Blizzard employees. “After 18 and a half years at Blizzard Entertainment, I’ve been laid off without notice as of today,” tools engineer Hunter C. wrote. “The Hearthstone Team is apparently being restructured and my Tools Engineer role is no longer needed.”

In a separate comment, Hunter C. added, “I know I’m not the only one being hit.”
